Community Assistance

Woman-owned. Locally-rooted. Quietly investing in the people who build our equipment.

FSI North America® is more than a manufacturer of life-safety products — we are a small-business employer with deliberate commitments to local workforce development and inclusive vocational employment.

Small business commitments

Recognized SBE and LDPE.

FSI® is a woman-owned, small business enterprise. We are formally recognized as both a Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDPE) and a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and we welcome procurement opportunities aligned with federal, state, and local small-business set-aside programs.

Our certifications reflect more than paperwork — they reflect how we hire, source, and partner. We retain American manufacturing whenever possible, and our supply chain prioritizes regional suppliers across Ohio and the Great Lakes industrial corridor.

Vocational employment

Special Vocational Schools.

FSI® proudly partners with Special Vocational Schools that train and employ adults with disabilities. These partners support the fabrication and final assembly of select FSI® products — bringing skilled craftsmanship to our shop floor while providing meaningful, wage-paying employment for individuals who too often face barriers to inclusion.

This is a long-standing, multi-decade commitment. It is part of how FSI® gets built, every day.

How we partner

If your organization aligns with our mission, let's talk.

Workforce

Vocational hiring

We welcome introductions to vocational training programs whose graduates would thrive in manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly roles.

Procurement

SBE / LDPE set-asides

Public-sector procurement officers managing small-business set-aside compliance can reach our distribution and sales team directly.

Suppliers

Regional sourcing

FSI® gives priority to American manufacturers and regional suppliers wherever specifications and certifications allow.

Donations

Equipment grants

FSI® periodically supports first-responder agencies and training academies with equipment grants and demonstration units.
